Escape the urban jungle.


I'm on a bus and it's way after dark and all the thoughts of what was said or what wasn't said is holding me down. But the bus moves on. I look out the window - a rapid flicking as street light after street light passes me until eventually they all roll into one. It's blurry. There's a tear in my eye and I just let it roll... Like the bus, like my heart, tumbling over and over again inside my chest. I keep staring through my window as high rise turns to terrace and terrace into suburbia and suburbia into dusty fields as I leave the paradoxical isolation that I've always known. I breathe a hot fog onto the window and draw a question mark that stares back at me. My future on a pane that only I can see.
