Sydney's Telafonica have just released a three track release through Everything Is Chemical, a music blog delivering monthly virtual 7"s through their Bandcamp. The first track taken from the record is I Can Hear There's A Peace In The Dark, a wonderful space jam so full of sound it's just bursting at the seems. The cinematic chorus is delivered so powerfully that it's a wonder they have any breath left at the end of the tune. As I listen to this song, I think of Melbourne trams for some reason, and a line of wistful onlookers waving goodbye to international friends. Perhaps this is an ode to those seemingly rare moments where you watch someone leave your life for the very last time. Aware, or unaware, as the case may be.
